We assist with the regularisation of exchange control contraventions with the Financial Surveillance Department
of the South African Reserve Bank.

• Loop structures created by individuals and corporates prior to 1 January 2021 and/or loop structures where the 40% shareholding threshold was exceeded without obtaining prior exchange control approval. 
• Individuals who inherited foreign assets from a non-resident on or before 17 March 1998 without the reporting thereof to the Exchange Control authority.
• Any foreign asset received by an individual from a non-resident as a donation before 23 February 2022 without the reporting thereof to the Exchange Control authority.
• Individuals who disposed of their authorised foreign assets to other individuals prior to 23 February 2022 without obtaining prior exchange control approval.
• Individuals who donated authorised foreign assets to other private individuals, prior to 23 February 2022 without obtaining prior exchange control approval.
• South African individuals and corporates who received inward foreign loans and foreign trade finance facilities from non-residents without obtaining prior exchange control approval.
